Rennes-le-Château: Is There Anything Left To Debunk?

Quote: “We must of course give space to the sceptics. This generally means those that have researched the mysterious Affair of Rennes-le-Château and decided it is all a hoax.”
Is this a joke?
The best way of describing scepticism is putting things to the critical test. Rennes-le-Château is a victim and not a survivor of that process.
The “mystery” did not exist before the mid 1950s. All the arguments for the existence of a “mystery” cannot withstand any scrutiny at all and the only reason that the Believers exist is so that they may experience “fun” from believing in the myths; rather like having a substitute for cocaine, marijuana, MDMA, and the like. Or at best, to describe their belief as the Faith of a Modern Religion.
Of course, you can add DRAC to being a sceptic as well!
The commune of Rennes-le-Château of course supports the “mystery” because it generates financial income for itself from the Tourist Industry.
Let’s leave the Rennes-le-Château MYTH for what it is, a MYTH – and no different to the way that Glastonbury has the myth of King Arthur’s Grave – and leave it at that.
