He supported the restoration of the Bourbon monarchy and the authority of the Pope. Unlike Enlightenment thinkers, Maistre emphasized tradition, authority, and divine providence. Undoubtedly someone to be turned into a Christian Doumergue-type figure that would fall victim into his Labyrinth of Lies and distorted reasoning! Prime victim of The Rennies!

Joseph de Maistre was someone regularly idolised by the French Far Right and was considered to be one of their champions and found within the pages of Paul Le Cour’s “Atlantis”, although there is nothing overtly linking him with Anti-Semitism.
