Philippe de Chérisey’s
Decoding of The Parchments

Philippe de Chérisey gave different and conflicting stories about both of his parchments – this was part of his game of puzzles. Philippe de Chérisey did that on purpose and he really meant it. Nothing that Philippe de Chérisey ever said can be taken seriously.

The rudimentary explanation for both parchments was that the text of the Small Parchment was based on the Codex Bezae by Wieland Wilker in 2004; while the text of the Large Parchment was based on John XII 1-12 from the Wordsworth & White version of The Vulgate by Bill Putnam (1930-2008), first published in 2003.

The book by Sophie de Lastours, “La France gagne la guerre des codes secrets 1914-1918” was published in 1998; yet we have the decipherment of the Large Parchment already in “Madeleine Blancassall, Les Descendants Mérovingiens ou l’énigme du Razès wisigoth”, deposited in the Bibliothèque Nationale on 26 August, 1965 (Page Five).

Philippe de Chérisey gave various stories about the decoding of both parchments. Let’s not forget about Pierre Plantard’s explanation following the death of Philippe de Chérisey – as well as this explanation given by Henry Lincoln on a BBC 2 “Chronicle” documentary – that could have originated with Philippe de Chérisey (Henry Lincoln never provided any credit for this decipherment):
