Didier Héricart de Thury was a True Believer in the treasure of Rennes-le-Château

“He had focused his research on three areas: the Stations of the Cross by the Toulouse sculptor Giscard, the ‘Temptations of Saint Anthony’ by the painter David Teniers, and the deciphering of Abbé Boudet's book ‘The True Celtic Language and the Cromlech of Rennes-les-Bains.’ With Franck Daffos, he published “The Gold of Rennes” in 2011, in which he moved the location of the treasure to a cave in the small village of Sougraigne, near Pech d'en Couty.”

Didier René Louis Héricart de Thury was known as the last viscount (vicomte) of Thury and had no descendants. He was descended from the notable Héricart de Thury family, which included the famous 19th-century scientist and politician Louis-Étienne Héricart de Thury, 1776-1854.
