Maurice Guinguand was an astrologer, had an interest in the Order of Knights Templar, a “Compagnon du Devoir” (member of an ancient French guild of master craftsmen with roots dating to the Middle Ages), Artist, Sculptor and a Ceramic Craftsman.

Guinguand was also responsible for fabricating a few fables about Abbé Bérenger Saunière.
