2+2 = 4. Is That Only A Theory?
The Nature of Irrational Beliefs

10 June 2026

There are some Conspiracy Theorists, strong believers in what we would call the paranormal, who contend that everything in life is only a theory – but that worldview can be easily dismissed. By walking into a shop to buy food without paying for it – in some shops, mainly supermarkets – you would be first caught by either Closed-Circuit Television or by the Security Guard, before being arrested by the Police. That would be one overriding way of proving the existence of reality.

It's really astonishing the ease with which people find themselves believing in the alleged Jesus-Mary Magdalene Bloodline, it's a thesis without even a starting-point to it, as can be proved by the text of the book that began it all, “The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail”. People believe in that fantasy but they cannot understand the significance of the Tribe of Benjamin in the Priory of Sion documents (there’s a simple answer). There have been authors who have written about the DNA of Jesus Christ and that the Bloodline can be proved by that means – but by simply watching only one episode of the documentary series “Bloodline Detectives”, you know that you can't do anything without having the DNA from the get-go, and even then what proof has anyone anywhere got, that is the DNA of Jesus Christ? So they stopped discussing that (they simply didn't know what they were talking about). One person was 100% certain that the ultimate arbiter of the historical reality of Jesus Christ was the story of his crucifixion in the Gospels, and the story in the Gospels had to be cognate with the story found in the First Century Christian documents, where the figure of Pontius Pilate is not even mentioned (by a now retired school teacher of biology, if he is still alive). If the Gospels were historically factual, Jesus Christ following his resurrection, could simply have turned up to Pontius Pilate (or to the Roman Emperor) and could have said: “Look at me, I am the true Son of God, I cannot be killed by mortal men” – but that event simply did not happen! Likewise a very well known scholar and author who focuses on the textual criticism of the New Testament, the historical Jesus, and the origins and development of early Christianity, including having written a number of books debunking the Jesus Bloodline, seriously suggested on video that the historical Jesus Christ was “parallel to the historical Sir Winston Churchill”.

What is the ultimate arbiter of what constitutes reality? Undoubtedly the answer is different things to different people – but reality does exist as pointed out at the beginning of this essay. If people are suffering from acute pain every single second of every day from an acute ailment then they KNOW they are existing, there is no question about that – it's as simple as 2+2 = 4.

But returning to the beginning of this article, what makes people commit themselves TOTALLY into there being a Jesus Christ Bloodline – it's a question that they themselves are quite unable to answer – but their commitment to believing it is harder than any granite or diamond known to Humankind. The believers in Ghosts and Flying Saucers are equally unable to substantiate their positions. The only solution to this perplexing of all questions and mysteries is that people require to believe in something found in life that cannot be found in scholarly textbooks, in schools, in colleges or in universities.

That's the only solution remaining to what they have committed themselves into doing on a day-to-day basis – into doing things that are only bound within the confines of Faith and Religion and are not bound to the usual arbiters of logic and reason. It's as simple as that.
