The Power Of Invisibility

Bible as Conductive Medium Analogy

Electricity passes through a wire in order for everyone to enable something to work – be it a light bulb, a refrigerator, a television, a power drill – or whatever else that requires electrical currents to work. We cannot see the electricity, but we know that it is contained inside the wire.

Exactly the same thought process applies to the New Testament – we are unable to “see” what makes Christianity work, but in order to understand it we need to understand the texts of The Holy Bible – it has been right there in front of our own very eyes but, like the electricity, we can see only the wire, the text but not the subtext.

As long as the basic texts of The Bible remain intact, and its text does not get substantially altered, that will always remain to be the case.

It's a simple trick – by believing in the “Story of Jesus” as given in the Gospels – we are simultaneously – through its subtext – carrying the information in ignorance. Only the chosen are invited to learn what is revealed within the subtext. This information has been with us all the time!

Those religious fundamentalists banging their fists on the table expressing “sound and fury signifying nothing” are a hoot (William Shakespeare, “Macbeth”, Act 5, Scene 5). I can still remember watching, several decades ago, how Christian Fundamentalists were screaming about a documentary about Rastafarianism and the worship of their Sacrament, Cannabis. “We do not snort cocaine, take heroine, nor any other drug” – they vehemently expressed.

Well, it happens to be there, with a slightly different variation, within the pages of the good book.
