If it is anything to do with the “Cult of Penitents” in Rennes-le-Château and the recent Priory of Sion “Pedigree” found on the Gazette de Rennes-le-Château website, then.... it just cannot be really serious and can only be interpreted as some sort of rant of a surreal joke. Whatever the “story” may be, it bears no connection at all to the life of Pierre Plantard. It has to be borne in mind that most of the fantasies concerning Abbé Bérenger Sauniêre over the last 70 years have been just as equally as bizarre!

The book dedicated to Pierre Plantard, his lineage, and the political dimension of the Priory of Sion is progressing remarkably well. The chosen angle of investigation is entirely original. To our knowledge, no one has yet explored this avenue with such depth.

This work is based on several years of research, the cross-referencing of numerous sources, and the study of old intelligence reports that focused, particularly at the beginning of the 20th century, on various esoteric and sectarian movements. These documents open new perspectives that invite us to revisit certain episodes of this history.

If the conclusions are confirmed, they could profoundly renew our understanding of Pierre Plantard and his milieu, and will undoubtedly fuel further debate.
