The Cercle St Dagobert II Events

The Anglo-Saxon Believers have been seriously out of touch.
It was widely reported that the latter Cercle St Dagobert II Events had nothing to do with Rennes-le-Château and/or the Priory of Sion – they were to do with esoterism and mysteries in general, when not pursuing real mainstream historical events.
Funny how some people believe that Louis Vazart's book Dagobert II et le mystère de la cité royale de Stenay (1983) had nothing to do with his first seminal book Abrégé de l'Histoire des Francs: Les Gouvernants et Rois de la France (1978).
If people seriously believe that the modern Merovingian myths of Pierre Plantard have any serious basis in historical fact they should present a copy of The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail to their local archaeological society.

Madame Bonnefoy confirms that indeed, at its beginnings, the Cercle Saint Dagobert II of Stenay, approached by Pierre Plantard, was "infiltrated by his ideas and, therefore, believed in this fable of Sigebert IV in the Razès". She stresses, however, that "Louis Vazart realized after a few years that he had been manipulated and then rejected all these fallacious theories". Mrs Bonnefoy finally concludes with humour: "Le Cercle then took another direction: from now on we would make History and not stories!"
