“Prince” Henry Sinclair travelled to America in 1398 – however Welsh Prince Madoc (Madog, ab Owain Gwynedd) travelled there much earlier, in 1170 – and there are reports of Welsh-speaking Indians as well to justify it – Richard Hakluyt mentioned the story and this has got to be confirmation of its authority!

The question is – why should Henry Sinclair's alleged voyage to America be treated any more seriously than the voyage of Prince Madoc?
