René Descadeillas and Saunière's trafficking in masses

René Descadeillas devoted many pages in his 1974 book Mythologie du Trésor de Rennes to demonstrate that the source of Saunière's wealth lay in the trafficking of masses – particularly on pages 45-47 where he provided a set of figures.

Nowhere did René Descadeillas directly refer to the Priory of Sion and never to Pierre Plantard by name in that book (although Descadeillas referred to Plantard indirectly as a paranoiac).

Descadeillas' 1974 book was called Mytholgie du Trésor de Rennes and not Mythologie du Prieure de Sion and, when summing up the entire subject matter of Bérenger Saunière and Rennes-le-Château concluded that it added up to nothing at all (Tout cela pourquoi? Pour rien).

When Descadeillas published his Mythologie du Trésor de Rennes in 1974 he rescinded everything he had previously written in 1962 in his book Notice Historique sur Rennes-le-Château and put that book on “interdit” status (forbidden to be photocopied). His death in 1986 lifted the block imposed on the book and it was published by Pierre Jarnac who did not provide any of this information.

The statements by René Descadeillas dating from 1962 below were scrubbed by him in his 1974 Mythologie du Trésor de Rennes and their repetition in 2016 are a dishonesty.
