For many decades Rennes-le-Château conspiracy theorists have tried to pin a treasure on the Abbé Henri Boudet.
Actually, Abbé Boudet – who was an amateur archaeologist – never referred to any “treasure” or “mystery”.
Abbé Boudet was simply interested in the idea of a Universal Language that was quite common centuries ago. There is nothing unique about his book La Vraie langue celtique et le cromleck de Rennes-les-Bains in this respect.
If Henri Boudet’s gravestone contains “enigmatic content” – then so do many other gravestones all over the world.
