Millionaire Mapmaker David Wood was known as having the largest nuclear fallout shelter in the UK that belonged to a member of the public, the subject of a television documentary shown during the 1980s.

A very short and brief visit to Rennes-le-Château was all it took to provide him with all the information he needed to start writing books on the subject matter.
