Rest In Peace
Jean-Alain Sipra,
1934 – 7 September 2016

Jean-Alain Sipra believed that Bérenger Saunière discovered an archaeological treasure and that the region of Rennes-le-Château contained a Round Temple (a “Constantinian Mausoleum”), the remains of which he claimed could be detected from aerial photographs. Sipra supported Louis Fédié’s obsolete idea that the village of Rennes-le-Château was Rhedae.

Jean-Alain Sipra also alleged that Abbé Boudet (with his Lazarist mentor, Abbé Jourde) discovered the tombs of Jesus Christ, Mary Magdalene and their children by Mount Bugarach (along with the graves of Visigothic kings).
