Frederick J. Pohl (Frederick Julius Pohl),
18 August 1889 – 21 February 1991

Frederick J. Pohl believed that Henry Sinclair, Earl of Orkney, Baron of Roslin (c1345-c1400) discovered America in 1398. Pohl originated the claim that the Micmac Indian “Glooscap legend” related to Henry Sinclair. Pohl also worked on the “Westford Knight” with Frank Glynn (1905-1968) and T. C. Lethbridge (1901-1971). Pohl’s 1974 book Prince Henry Sinclair: His Expedition To The New World In 1398 marked the beginning of the evolution of the Rosslyn myths and legends, with Allister F. MacDougall (1891-1989) erecting the Westford Knight Memorial Plaque in 1976.
