THE REVOLUTION

The tone is no longer that of a beautiful dream
When, everywhere, they are arising.
Listen, my friends, to what is happening.
Look out above all to see if anyone is trespassing

And if they are, make sure you have ready
All your treasures, all your packages
Since a donkey, or better still an aeroplane
Will certainly make sure that you escape.

If all that money is weighing you down too much
Then in the Mountain there are holes up high
That will hide them like a banker would.
Envy, get away from my chequebook!

Nature is there, the revolution is finished.
Next time you won't be so gullible!
Peace at last, the futile pleasures have returned.
Ah! But our money! What has become of it?

Paper, metal, is it really that precious?
More precious than one's family and the smiling of the heavens?
